AFC Wimbledon Foundation is seeking a passionate and committed Senior Fundraising & Engagement Officer. This role will be a key member of our ambitious team, delivering a growing portfolio of fundraising campaigns, fundraising events, and supporter engagement initiatives. You’ll oversee our supporter journeys, manage our communications channels, and build meaningful relationships that drive income and deepen our impact.

Salary: £31,500

Foundation Trustee - Voluntary Role

AFC Wimbledon Foundation is seeking enthusiastic and reliable trustees. In particular we are looking to appoint candidates with experience in the areas of:

  • Safeguarding

  • IT/data analysis

  • Sports delivery

  • Health & safety

Knowledge of Merton, Wandsworth and the local community to Plough Lane Stadium would be advantageous and a passion for the potential of sport to change lives.

Project Officer - Women & Girls Football

Role description:
AFC Wimbledon Foundation is looking for a passionate and driven Project Officer to play a key role in transforming the landscape of our local women's and girls' game across the boroughs of Merton and Wandsworth. As momentum continues to grow locally, this is a unique opportunity to deliver inclusive, high-impact football programmes that empower girls and women at every level - from first-time players to emerging talent. Based at the Cherry Red Records Stadium, you’ll work at the heart of one of London’s most community-focused clubs, delivering sessions, organising events, managing participation programmes, and building lasting partnerships.

Role Purpose:
To increase the participation of women and girls in football and physical activity across all AFC Wimbledon Foundation programmes. This role will lead on the delivery, coordination, recruitment, and monitoring of all women’s and girls’ football provision that sits under the Foundation, contributing to the long-term development of an inclusive and accessible pathway for female participants.

Salary: £29,000

sessional coach - Women & Girls

Role description:
AFC Wimbledon Foundation are looking to recruit additional casual coaches to initially deliver our Women and Girls programmes as well as mixed provision. This role may cover programmes such as after-school clubs, Saturday morning sessions and holiday courses, as well as our Player Development Centre and Women’s Fitness Classes, with a view to increased hours and curriculum delivery in the future.

Pay will vary depending on qualifications, experience and hours worked. AFC Wimbledon Foundation is a London Living Wage employer.

If you hold an FA Level 1 or Level 2 Coaching Award, have experience of working in school and community settings, live locally in the South West London area and are interested in working for a growing Foundation please complete the application form below.

sessional coach - Youth Inclusion

Role description:

AFC Wimbledon Foundation are looking to recruit additional sessional coaches to deliver on our Youth Inclusion programmes, including PL Kicks, Holiday Activity Fund, and Food programmes for children eligible for Free School Meals, and Safer Spaces, a Greater London Authority funded initiative designed to reduce anti-social behaviour through sports.

The aim is to create inclusive diversionary activities away from criminal activity and anti-social behaviour, contributing to safer and stronger communities for our participants to play sport, be active and gain accreditations.

Location: Merton, Wandsworth and neighbouring boroughs.
Start: Immediate
Key working hours: Weekday afternoons and evenings.

Qualifications:

Volunteer Mentor

Role description:

A partnership of 10 Merton based youth organisations have secured an exciting grant from the Big Lottery, through the Propel initiative.

As a collective we are seeking volunteers to support our partnership programme, Motivate Merton. We are looking for individuals 21+, passionate about positive outcomes for young people and experience of empathy for the challenges they face growing up in London. 

Please note, this is an unpaid volunteer role.

Commitment: 45-90 minute sessions, fortnightly 1:1 mentoring sessions. April 2025 - March 2026

Location: Various locations across the Merton borough
