Kai Jennings: From Wimbledon Park to Plough Lane

Kai Jennings made his senior debut for AFC Wimbledon in the FA Cup against Cheltenham Town, 12 years after attending AFC Wimbledon Foundation’s sessions in Wimbledon Park.

Kai attended the Foundation’s Holiday Courses, when now Rob Tuvey and Joe Roberts were working on them, before joining AFC Wimbledon’s Pre-Academy aged 7.

Kai has been in the Academy ever since, a testament to their hard work as well as his own, where he has followed in the footsteps of Morgan Williams, who made his first start for Wimbledon against Chelsea this season.

It’s what every kid growing up who wants to be a footballer wants to achieve. To have both games at Plough Lane, in front of the fans, was great.

It was an incredible week for Kai, the Academy under-18s captain, who assisted the first goal in their FA Youth Cup win against Cambridge at Plough Lane on Tuesday.

Everyone at the Foundation is hoping this is the first of many games at Plough Lane for Kai!
