Haydon Stars at Signature Sports Day

Haydon leading the opening parade

Last week Signature at Coombe Hill Manor hosted a Sports Day for their residents and staff, and Haydon the Womble was the star attraction, carrying the ‘Olympic’ Torch to start the event and representing AFC Wimbledon.

The Sports Day, which was to celebrate Signature’s 10th Anniversary at Coombe Hill, began with an opening flag parade, led by Haydon, to celebrate the nationalities of all residents and staff.

The main sporting event was Curling, provided by AFC Wimbledon Foundation, which both residents and staff were able to enjoy in the glorious sunshine. You can try your hand at Indoor Curling at our Active Ageing sessions, which take place at Plough Lane every Thursday from 10am-12pm.

The day concluded with a French Themed buffet, to celebrate the Olympics being held in Paris later this year.

Signature residents regularly attend our Active Ageing sessions, so it was great to be able to support this event.
